Ct Patriot: This woman is obviously sick and deserves every bit of punishment she receives for killing her own child. But even sadder is the fact this is an every growing problem in our nation. We just cannot afford to take care of our sick anymore. Families are going broke. And the Autism rates are beyond skyrocketing. How do we expect any parent who’s not rich to be able to afford this? We seem to have money for wars, to fund terrorists, to militarize our police, to fight Ebola in Africa, To “right” all the wrongs of the world. To give illegals every advantage just for their illegal votes. Yet the Real Americans cannot support their families. The American Dream has become an American Nightmare!
A mommy blogger told police that the voices inside her head told her to hurl her 6-year-old son off the side of a bridge Monday.
Oregon mom Jillian McCabe, 34, was standing on Yaquina Bridge about 10 miles north of her hometown, Seal Rock, when she dialed 911 to report that she had tossed her little boy over the side and killed him, local NBC affiliate KGW reports.
After a massive search, the body of the youngster was found four hours later floating near a marina, authorities said.
A Lincoln County woman also named Jillian McCabe had previously filed an appeal to receive funding for help taking care of her autistic son, London, and her husband, Matt, who had multiple sclerosis, according to NBC.“I feel really sorry for the family,” said Newport Police Chief Mark Miranda. “Losing a kid isn’t easy.”
When McCabe’s mugshot was released, it matched pictures posted on Facebook by Oregon resident Matt McCabe. His timeline describes his son London as a 6-year-old and mentions his wife, Jillian, as well.
The McCabes also wrote “Autistic London,” a blog about their experience raising their son, Gawker reported.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — A woman who appealed for money online to help care for her autistic son and disabled husband has been accused of throwing her 6-year-old boy to his death off an historic bridge on the Oregon coast.
Police said Jillian Meredith McCabe, 34, called 911 from the bridge in Newport as darkness fell Monday to report what she had done and waited until police arrived.
Andrew McCabe confirmed Tuesday that his sister-in-law had written an appeal on YouCaring.com, a crowd funding website. In it she described caring for her autistic son and her husband, Matt, who has been unable to work since developing multiple sclerosis and a mass on his brain stem.
The appeal ended eight months ago, after raising $6,831 toward a goal of $50,000.
“If you are a praying person, pray for us,” Jillian McCabe wrote. “I love my husband and he has taken care of myself and my son for years and years and now it’s time for me to take the helm. I am scared and I am reaching out.”
