Ct Patriot: So it took this video which has been around since the beat down, to convince the NFL to get rid of this Abuser Ray Rice? And who says jocks are slow? This Ray Rice , the animal he is should not only be gone from the NFL. But from society as we know it. What kind of message does this send to young women? Take a punch and you will get married? or what about young men? punch her, don’t talk and nothing will happen to you. I want to see Jail time for this piece of human feces. Let him do some time with a few men who might treat him like her treated his girl.

The shocking footage shows the Baltimore Ravens running back delivering a vicious blow to Janay Palmer, who is now his wife. ‘Roger Goodell has announced that based on new video evidence that became available today, he has indefinitely suspended Ray Rice,’ a spokesman tweeted Monday, referring to the NFL commissioner — who earlier in the day claimed ‘no one in our office has seen (the video) until today.’
Now we know what it takes to get a football player who beats up a woman kicked out of the NFL.
Commissioner Roger Goodell gave Baltimore Ravens star Ray Rice the boot Monday after horrific footage of him knocking out his then-fiancée with a vile left hook hit the web.
Goodell suspended Rice for just two games last month after a first video surfaced of the three-time Pro-Bowler dragging an unconscious Janay Palmer out of an Atlantic City casino elevator.
But confronted with film obtained by TMZ.com, which showed how Palmer got that way, Goodell suspended Rice indefinitely and the Ravens cut him loose.
“The NFL knew this surveillance video existed,” TMZ’s Harvey Levin told Washington DC’s Fox 5. “It almost feels like the NFL didn’t want to know. The only reason all of this has happened today is that the NFL was backed into a corner because we put this video up.”
Goodell, via his flak, insisted nobody in office had seen the shocking second video before.
“We requested from law enforcement any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said. “That video was not made available to us. And no one in our office has seen it until today.”

Ray Rice cut, then suspended by NFL
ESPN.com news services
BALTIMORE — Ray Rice was let go by the Ravens on Monday and suspended indefinitely by the NFL after a video was released that appears to show the running back striking his then-fiancée in February.
The grainy video, released by TMZ Sports, shows Rice and Janay Palmer in an elevator at an Atlantic City casino. Each hits the other before Rice knocks Palmer off her feet and into a railing. An earlier TMZ video had showed Rice dragging Palmer, now his wife, from the elevator at the Revel casino, which closed Sept. 2.
The Ravens said earlier Monday that they never saw the new video. Hours later, they sent out a one-sentence release:
“The Baltimore Ravens terminated the contract of RB Ray Rice this afternoon.”
This was the first time the Ravens punished Rice and it was a unanimous decision that came after a brief meeting called by franchise owner Steve Bisciotti and involving general manager Ozzie Newsome, coach John Harbaugh and team president Dick Cass, a league source told ESPN’s Ed Werder.
The source said Bisciotti first saw the video on his television and decided almost immediately that be believed the running back had to be released. He called a meeting to confer with other members of the organizational hierarchy.
“We hadn’t seen the video,” the source said. “The video changes the perspective.”
