I Had a One-Night Stand With Christine O’Donnell Three years ago this week, an intoxicated Christine O’Donnell showed up at the apartment of a 25-year-old Philadelphian and ended up spending the night in his bed. Here’s his story—and photos—of his escapade with the would-be Delaware senator.

Excerpt from Gawker Articles…

Things got physical on the couch pretty quickly. It wasn’t long before we’d moved from the living room to my bed.

I won’t get into the nitty gritty details of what happened between the sheets that evening. But I will say that it wasn’t half as exciting as I’d been hoping it would be. Christine was a decent kisser, but as soon as soon as her clothes came off and she was naked in my bed, Christine informed me that she was a virgin.

“You’ve got to be kidding,” I said. She didn’t explain at the time that she was a “born-again virgin.” She made it seem like she’d never had sex in her life, which seemed pretty improbable for a woman her age. And she made it clear that she was planning on staying a virgin that night. But there were signs that she wasn’t very experienced sexually. When her underwear came off, I immediately noticed that the waxing trend had completely passed her by.

Obviously, that was a big turnoff, and I quickly lost interest. I said goodnight, rolled over, and went to sleep. It was almost four o’clock in the morning. I had to get up at 6:30 to go to work.

O’Donnell’s “Hook-Up:” Gawker’s in the Wrong

HuffintonPost.Com

It’s a sorry moment in political journalism when we must look towards the National Enquirer as a standard-bearer in reporting ethics.

A thought to consider as you read the story:

Let’s say every detail in it is true. O’Donnell was (and is) a single woman at the time this alleged incident happened. She did not commit adultery. She did not become pregnant out of wedlock. She did not even masturbate. Indeed by the guy’s own telling, she didn’t even violate her views on abstinence–not with him, and not subsequently in the alleged year-long relationship with his roommate. Yes it’s true she might have violated her own self-professed sexual ethics–getting drunk and giggly and naked, like some 1950s sorority girl–but really! Is this the standard we are now going to hold public figures to? Are we really going to get into a public debate about private dating behavior, and whether or not one sticks to a standard on a consistent basis?

Either way this whole story reeks as a pre-election plant, a completely made-up fiction, and Gawker should own up to the identity of this cowardly sexual creep. If only so that Christine O’Donnell’s older brother can find him and give him a well-deserved punch in the face.

Although I wouldn’t put it past O’Donnell to be able to level that punch herself.

Rand Paul “fan” later caught marching with opponent’s supporters at rally, ousted as a “hardcore Democrat”

A man purporting to be a Rand Paul supporter was caught on film brandishing a racist sign at a rally in Kentucky this past weekend, then later spotted marching with supporters of Paul’s political opponent.

In a another blatant case of provocateuring, the man, who introduced himself as “Tyler” was spotted wearing a tin foil hat and flip flops around his neck with the word “CAP & TRADE” written on them.

While carrying an official Rand Paul campaign hand fan, he also held an anti-immigration sign that read “They take our jobs! Corrupt our children! STEAL the American Dream!”

The provocateur was caught out by an attendee at the Fancy Farm political celebration in Kentucky who claimed he saw the man speaking with supporters and campaign officials of Paul’s opponent for the Kentucky Senate, Jack Conway, shortly before making his way into the crowds.

“Obviously you’re a Conway fan because I just heard one of the Conway guys say you work for Conway.” the cameraman said as he confronted the man.

“They said you were going to say the most racist things you could so people would think that Rand stands for that.” he added

“Oh absolutely not” the man replied.

Later on, the cameraman caught up with “Tyler” as he marched with Conway supporters.

Watch the video:

The Louisville Courier Journal even used footage of the man, portraying him as a legitimate Rand Paul supporter in the following video:

Dave Weigel of Slate picked up on the video and contacted the Conway campaign for an explanation. Staffers on the Conway team denied having any knowledge of who the man was or what he was doing at the event.

However, Slate readers and real Rand Paul supporters did some digging around and have revealed that the man is Tyler Clay Collins, a Murray State University member of the Kentucky Young Democrats, who worked campaigning for Obama for two years.

Pictures taken from Collins’ facebook page, which has since been pulled, show him at an Obama rally in 2008 and posing with Jack Conway backer Crit Luallen. Collins even has Conway as a Facebook friend:

Furthermore, in a comment left on a 2008 news article about Obama’s presidential campaign, Collins declared himself “a hardcore Democrat”.

We have seen several instances of this kind of pathetic provocateuring at Tea Party events in the past, with promises of violence and racist slurs coming from Obama supporters in an effort to demonize legitimate Libertarian and Tea Party activists.

However, Tyler Collins’ effort by far represents the most monumental FAIL to date

Iowa billboard linking Obama, Hitler removed

DES MOINES, Iowa – A billboard created by an Iowa tea party group comparing President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin has been removed.

Kent Beatty, the general manager of the company that owns the billboard, says a North Iowa Tea Party representative called Tuesday night and asked that the sign in downtown Mason City be removed.

Beatty says his company replaced the sign Wednesday morning with a public service announcement.

The original sign showed photographs of Obama, Nazi leader Hitler and communist leader Lenin beneath the labels “Democrat Socialism,” “National Socialism,” and “Marxist Socialism.”

Some tea party members criticized the sign, and North Iowa Tea Party co-founder Bob Johnson acknowledged the pictures overwhelmed the intended message of anti-socialism.

Sarah Palin’s Pick, Rep. Gov. Candidate Nikki Haley Had An Affair With Blogger Will Folks?

Huffingtonpost.com
May 24, 2010

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A political blogger claimed Monday that he had an inappropriate physical relationship with Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley, a tea party favorite who called the allegations a “disgraceful smear.”

Haley, a legislator vying to become the state’s first female governor, said the allegation was planted to derail a campaign gaining steam with high-powered endorsements, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and ex-South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford.

The allegation was made by Will Folks in a post on his blog. Folks offered no proof of the relationship and refused to go into details, saying only that the relationship took place in 2007 when he did communications work for Haley, including writing speeches and news releases.

Folks pleaded guilty to criminal domestic violence in 2005 and is now a political consultant. He also runs FITSNews.com, a conservative site that features occasionally insightful commentary, thinly sourced stories of state political intrigue and photos of women in bikinis.

Folks’ allegation comes nearly a year after Gov. Mark Sanford admitted to having an affair, and two weeks before the June 14 primary, a four-way contest that includes a congressman, the lieutenant governor and the state attorney general.

Haley said the attack was a distraction to the race.

“I have been 100 percent faithful to my husband throughout our 13 years of marriage. This claim against me is categorically and totally false,” Haley, a 38-year-old mother of two, said in a statement. “It is quite simply South Carolina politics at its worst.”

Glenn Beck Slams Tea Partie’s Debra Medina on 9-11 Truthers…THE AUDIO…

Glenn Beck slams Debra Medina for not disavowing 9-11 truthers

Christy Hoppe/Reporter

TV and radio commentator Glenn Beck dismissed the candidacy of Debra Medina when she left open the door to a conspiracy fringe group that believe the U.S. government might have been behind the 9-11 destruction of the World Trade Center.

CtPatriot UPDATE…Vast Majority Back Debra Medina, Attack Glenn Beck As Manufactured Controversy Backfires!!!

Beck, a leading personality for conservatives, asked her point blank if she believed such a theory.

“I don’t have all the evidence there, Glenn,” Medina replied. “So I’m not in a place – I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There’s some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there so I’ve not taken a position there.”

He then asked if she would disavow people on her campaign team that held such a theory.

“I’m certainly not into mind control or thought policing people,” Medina said. “I don’t see us having a team of radical individuals, if you will.”

When she signed off the program, Beck let out a long Oooh.

“I think I can write her off the list,” he said. “Let me take another look at Kay Bailey Hutchison, if I have to. Rick, I think you I could French kiss right now.”

Of Medina giving some countenance to such a conspiracy theory, Beck said, “Wow, the fastest way back to four percent.”

WARNING!!! Iran Anniversary ‘Punch’ Will Stun West: Khamenei…22nd of Bahman (February 11)

Iran anniversary ‘punch’ will stun West: Khamenei

Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that Iran is set to deliver a “punch” that will stun world powers during this week’s 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution.
“The Iranian nation, with its unity and God’s grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned,” Khamenei, who is also Iran’s commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel.

The country’s top cleric was marking the occasion when Iran’s air force gave its support to revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, a key event which led to the toppling of the US-backed shah on February 11, 1979.

His comments came as Iran said it would begin to produce higher enriched uranium from Tuesday, in defiance of Western powers trying to ensure the country’s nuclear drive is peaceful.

This year’s anniversary is expected to become a flashpoint between security forces and supporters of opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, who charge that the June re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was rigged.

Opposition supporters are expected to stage anti-government protests on Thursday when the traditional regime-sponsored marches to mark the revolution take place across the country.

Mousavi renewed his call for demonstrations on the February 11 anniversary.

Just over a week ago, he and Karroubi had implicitly called for a gathering of their supporters.

“The 22nd of Bahman is upon us, truly it should be called the day of gathering,” Mousavi said on his Kaleme.org website Monday.

“I feel we have to participate while maintaining the collective spirit as well as our identity and leave an impression,” Mousavi said.

“Anger and bitterness should not take our control away.

“The clerics should know that since imprisonment, beatings, and other confrontational methods are done in the name of Islam and the Islamic regime, it is hurting Islam and we all should try to stop,” he added.

Anti-government protests were first triggered after the June 12 presidential election won by Ahmadinejad.

Over the past eight months, several thousand people were arrested. Some were released and others were given hefty prison terms, among them politicians, journalists and human rights activists.

Two protesters were tried, convicted and hanged in the aftermath of the election.

Khamenei told the air force personnel the “most important aim of the sedition after the election was to create a rift within the Iranian nation, but it was unable to do so and our nation’s unity remained a thorn in its eyes.”

Sarah Palin Tells Tea Party U.S. Ready for ‘Another Revolution’…(VIDEO) Hitting Obama, Talking National Security…

Sarah Palin Tells Tea Party U.S. Ready for ‘Another Revolution’

By John McCormick

Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) — Sarah Palin, a hero amid the leaderless Tea Party movement, told hundreds of fans at the group’s inaugural national convention that their efforts will empower voters and change America.

“I am a big supporter of this movement,” Palin said. “America is ready for another revolution.”

The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice- presidential nominee said the current Democratic administration can no longer blame the previous one for the nation’s ills.

“It’s been a year now,” she said. “They own this now, and voters are going to hold them accountable.”

The appearance — the first of several Tea Party events Palin plans to attend in the coming months — marks the end of the three-day National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

The convention at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel is the first national meeting of a movement that emerged last year amid protests over the policies of President Barack Obama and the Democrats who control Congress.

Palin’s supporters at the convention say the media has been overly critical of her and there is plenty of time for her to decide whether she will run for president in 2012.

“If that’s where God puts her, that’s where she’ll go,” said Tammy Holmes, 36, a small-business owner from Farmington, Missouri, who is attending the conference.

Tea Party activists, drawn to Palin’s anti-Washington rhetoric and working-mother personality, would form a natural base for Palin should she decide to make a White House bid.

Little Downside

There is little downside for Palin, 45, in so closely associating herself with the grassroots movement, a Republican strategist said.

“The more she can talk to them and talk to conservative evangelicals, the more she can have a passionate following and appeal to a fairly large swath of GOP voters and independent voters,” said John Feehery, who advised former Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert.

“She has attained rock star status,” he said. “That doesn’t necessarily mean she has a great voice, but she has attained celebrity. For a lot of folks she is off-key. But for her supporters, she’s the best thing since Elvis.”

Feehery said he is skeptical Palin will run for president.

“What she is doing, frankly, I think, is trying to make some money,” he said. “The media is fascinated by her and that’s a very big asset.”
