Think Progress catches Fox News host Bill O’Reilly comparing gay people to al Qaida last night while discussing a new pro-gay French McDonald’s ad designed to showcase the restaurant’s inclusiveness and widely-varied clientele. This point seemed to evade O’Reilly as he repeatedly focused on whether or not the ad makes one hungry.

We initially wondered ourselves why McDonald’s felt the need to air the spot. Maxime Donzel of the French website interviewed Nathalie Legarlantezec, the brand director of McDonald’s France, and got this explanation:

“We wanted to take a look at how French society is today. We’re very comfortable with the topic of homosexuality, there is obviously no problem with homosexuality in France today”. While the statement sounds a bit naive in a country where same sex couples cannot legally marry nor adopt, the idea was to give a positive image of the brand: “The point was not to show someone who is troubled, especially a teenager. We know it can be difficult for some people, but we wouldn’t have dared show someone who is struggling”.

O’Reilly’s guest Jane Skinner goes on to explain that the ad is part of an overall campaign titled “Come as you are.” Cue O’Reilly’s foot to head towards his mouth: “OK. Do they have an al Qaeda ad, you know, come as you are? You know?”

(VIDEO) Racist Movie “Machete” By Robert Rodriguez, Calls For Race War and Murder…What If Whites Did This???

New Movie “Machete” By Robert Rodriguez, Evokes Race War…

Alex Jones & Aaron Dykes

Robert Rodriguez’ upcoming Machete Director Robert Rodriguez’ new film ‘Machete‘ has created controversy after a promotional trailer released online makes provoking comments about Arizona– namely its new immigration laws– before depicting a machete-wielding vigilante who leads an uprising and massacre against Texas authorities. The filmmakers called it a ’special’ Cinco de Mayo message to Arizona, inviting viewers into a violent on-screen race war with red-saturated 70s exploitation violence and endless killing.

While some critics have praised this “message to Arizona” as being “most eloquent” on the immigration issue, others have become concerned about the message truly sent by a bloody and racially-charged film.

Alex Jones explains how the unsettling film, currently in production here in Austin, Texas, had upset two of its crew members, both of whom happened to be hispanic, enough to contact him about its fiery message. Though they could not give details due to their contractual agreements, the industry insiders were concerned that the film had gone too far, voicing their fears that it could cause a cultural backlash and do harm to the otherwise positive image of the hispanic community.

Racial strife is often exacerbated unnecessarily by globalists forces who, though seeking to integrate North America regionally, divide & conquer the population by playing upon ethnic tensions. For a violent film to use such a backdrop to glorify and potentially incite violent attacks on white Americans over the immigration issue is very dangerous, and Alex urges the film’s director to carefully consider the impact such an extreme statement could have. Though the movie screen is an escapist dimension where sex & violence are commonplace, ‘Machete‘ ties it into a racially motivated issue spurned by anti-illegal immigration rhetoric– and that may be taking things a bit too far.

The trailer insinuates that the film’s lead is hired to assassinate a Texas senator rallying so hard against illegal immigrants that he calls their very presence on United States soil “terrorism.” However, ‘Machete‘ realizes he’s been betrayed, and instead set-up as a patsy for a failed-assassination attempt to be blamed on what is termed crudely by the film’s villains to be “Mexicans” and “cucarachas.” From there, he develops a taste for revenge and initiates an out-and-out killing spree, recruiting an angry mob along the way, whose leader decries “We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us” in downtown Austin. The trailer shows a crowd all holding up machetes in preparation for battle. As the film is not scheduled for release until September, we cannot say whether the film will be as violent and over-the-top as the trailer implies, but if the wary crew members are any indication, this film could be an unwanted wedge of racial anger that no one wants unleashed.

(VIDEO) ABC Vs Lane Bryant: Never Rejected Plus Size Ad…POLL Busty Ad Hot or Not???

ABC Slams Lane Bryant: We Never Rejected Plus Size Lingerie Ad

Fox News

Lane Bryant had been set to launch its campaign for Cacique, its new lingerie line, during “Dancing With the Stars.”

ABC says plus size retailer Lane Bryant’s claims that the network refused to air a commercial featuring a model in lingerie are no more than a fabricated publicity stunt.

Following a war of words where the retailer claimed the network was discriminating against full figured women by refusing to air the lingerie commercial, ABC issued a statement saying they did not treat Lane Bryant any differently than another advertiser.

“Their statements are not true,” the statement said. “The ad was accepted. Lane Bryant was treated absolutely no differently than any advertiser for the same product. We were willing to accommodate them, but they chose to seek publicity instead.”

But according to Lane Bryant, the Disney-owned network refused to air the brand’s lingerie ad during its hit show “Dancing with the Stars,” saying it bared too much cleavage, an insider said.

And Lane Bryant thinks the net’s executives are a bunch of prejudiced boobs.

Do Christina Hendricks, Kim Kardashian, and a whole magazine dedicated to plus-sized models add up to a return of “real” women in Hollywood? (Warning: Some photos NSFW)

“The cleavage of the plus-size models, they said, was excessive, and we don’t think that’s the case,” said the source. “It certainly appears to be discrimination against full-sized women.”

Lane Bryant had been set to launch its campaign for Cacique, its new lingerie line, during “Dancing” this week.

After the ad was pulled, the company posted the too-sexy-for-TV spot on its Web site yesterday.

In it, a pleasantly plump model gracefully shows off her curves before the camera in a slew of sexy poses.

“Mom always said beauty is skin deep,” a voice-over says. “Somehow, I don’t think this is what Mom had in mind.”

Lane Bryant said Fox, too, had originally balked at showing the ad on “American Idol.”

But a Lane Bryant insider noticed that a sexy Victoria’s Secret lingerie spot starring a skinny model had been slotted for “Idol” Tuesday night and complained about a double standard. That caused Fox to change its tune, the source said.

“They wouldn’t run the ad, but have you seen the Victoria’s Secret spots? If you saw the Victoria’s Secret spot and our spot, you’d see nothing different,” the source added.

Fox bristled at the notion it gave Lane Bryant a hard time, saying it is set to air the ad during Wednesday’s “American Idol.”

How Glenn Beck Makes $32 Million A Year

Gillian Reagan
Apr. 8, 2010

Love him, hate him, or love to hate him, but Fox News’ Glenn Beck is a rich man.

He made $32 million in 2009, Forbes reports.

But reporter Lacey Rose tells us his Fox News contract is the least lucrative of his many projects from books to radio shows to merchandise.

He’s a regular empire, and knows it.

“I could give a flying crap about the political process,” he told Forbes. “We’re an entertainment company.”

Here’s the math:

$12 million from book sales from a Simon & Schuster co-venture “typically reserved for authors like Stephen King.”
$50 million from a 5-year contract with Premiere Radio Networks that netted $10 million last year. It’s the No. 3 most-listened to show in America.
$4 million from his website, which brings in revenue from ads, “Insider” paid subscription service ($54.95 per year) and retail merchandise sales.
$3 million in speaking fees, including his “Bold Fresh Tour” with Bill O’Reilly .
$2 million from his Fox News contract.
$1 million from his Fusion magazine.

Rapper LL Cool J Tweets His Anger Over Sarah Palin Featuring Him On TV Show…VIDEO CLIP…

LL Cool J Rips Stealth Inclusion on Sarah Palin Show

By Marc Schneider
Mar 31st 2010

Sarah Palin loves Cool James, but the feeling isn’t mutual. Rap legend and actor LL Cool J is featured in promos for the Palin-hosted ‘Real American Stories,’ airing on FOX News on Thursday night, but he says the network never asked him to participate.

“Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else and are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palin’s show,” the real-life James Smith told his Twitter followers Tuesday night. “WOW,” he added.

Aside from LL, country star Toby Keith and former GE exec Jack Welch are billed as appearing on the show, which will feature “real-life tales of overcoming adversity.” According the LA Times, the rapper will talk about his personal life and career in a segment called ‘In Their Own Words.’

The site has allegedly pulled this snippet from the special: “My family is very pro-American,” he said. “My grandfather used to sit me in his lap, and we would watch all of the old World War II shows that used to come on, back in the day. I’m totally on it, totally into it, and I love it. My grandfather, even after we said grace, he would say, ‘Chow!'”

American Bad Ass Kid Rock On Fox’s Megan Kelly…”Liberals Have Destroyed Once Proud Detriot”…VIDEO!!!

Kid Rock Gets It Right on Detroit

RUSH: Now, normally, ladies and gentlemen, when we are treated to celebrity opinions, it’s always the left. But yesterday on Fox News, America Live with Megyn Kelly, she interviewed the rock ‘n’ roll super crooner, Kid Rock, who is from Detroit.

He’s a conservative guy for the most part. He does lots of troop visits to entertain them, Afghanistan and so forth. She said to Kid Rock, “What do you make of the situation in Detroit?” It’s where he’s from. “Because that’s something you’ve grown up around, you live in that area. It’s been a rough, rough haul there. What’s your experience on the ground in Detroit?”

KID ROCK: I have nightmares sometimes that, you know, I’m going to wake up — I actually have a nightmare that I’m going to wake up — and everyone is driving, like, a Prius or living in a condo. We’re all getting health insurance. Detroit was such… We had so much style, you know? The cars that we built — and not only the cars, the tanks, the airplanes from World War II, the things we did with such ingenuity. But cool stuff. You know, a ’57 Chevy. It came in 17 colors, every one of them red, white, and blue. It was so cool. And now it’s like they’re just trying to… It just reminds me of Europe, like everybody is going to be driving a Smart Car and living in a condo and that’s not the American dream. And you see it kind of starting to die, or at least it has left for a little from Detroit there with everything that’s going on. Everyone still wants it to come back and be present again.

Sarah Palin, Daughter Bristol Lash Out at ‘Family Guy’ Episode…”Retarded”…VIDEO…

Sarah Palin, daughter Bristol lash out at ‘Family Guy’ episode

Associated Press
Tue Feb 16, 9:05 pm ET

JUNEAU, Alaska – Sarah Palin is lashing out at the portrayal of a character with Down syndrome on the Fox animated comedy “Family Guy.” In a Facebook posting headlined “Fox Hollywood — What a Disappointment,” the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee and current Fox News contributor said Sunday night’s episode felt like “another kick in the gut.” Palin’s youngest son, Trig, has Down syndrome.

The episode features the character Chris falling for a girl with Down syndrome. On a date, he asks what her parents do.

She replies: “My dad’s an accountant, and my mom is the former governor of Alaska.”

Palin resigned as Alaska governor last summer.

Palin’s oldest daughter, Bristol, also was quoted on her mother’s Facebook page, calling the show’s writers “heartless jerks.”

“When you’re the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent,” she is quoted as saying.

“If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed,” Bristol Palin added in the Monday posting. “All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks.”

Palin wrote that she’d asked her daughter what she thought of the show and Bristol’s reply was “a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make about an issue that begs the question: When is enough enough?”

This isn’t the first time Palin has spoken out over an attack, real or perceived, on her family. Last year, she condemned a joke David Letterman made about her daughter, for which he later apologized.

A “Family Guy” publicist didn’t immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.
