Usually the only time you hear about someone coming down a chimney to get into a home, is when telling your children Christmas stories. However, Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac is one person who tried to pull of a Santa-like entry.
Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac, tried to get into a home of someone who she was in an “on again, off again” relationship with, last Wednesday night. When she determined that there was no feasible way of entering the home, she elected to climb a latter to the roof of the house. Upon getting up there, she proceeded to removed the chimney cap from the chimney, and hop down.
Unfortunately for Kotarac, she didn’t make it to the bottom, before dying of mechanical asphyxia (also known as suffocation). The problem was, the owner of the house, snuck out before he realized that Kotarac didn’t make it.
It wasn’t for 3 day until her body was found in the chimney. A house sitter and her son, discovered the body when they saw bodily fluids dripping down the chimney into the fireplace.
It took firefighters nearly 5 hours to take the chimney apart and get Kotarac’s body out. It is apparent that the chimney was a bit too small for her body. It compressed her chest so much, that she could no longer take a breath of air…
